On October 16, NNP Dniester Canyon and the CAT (Community Action Team) Volunteerism Club from Zalishchyky Gimnasia organized a joint ecological expedition entitled 'Clear Shores'. On that lovely autumn day, the students of Grades 5, 8, 9 and 10 went to Syvulyna Ravine along the Dniester River, in the vicinity of Ivane-Zolote Village.
The students were inspired by O. Voichyshyn, the Principal of the Gimnasia, I. Luchyn, teacher of English, and representatives of the National Park, including O. Vikyrchak, L. Mandziuk, P. Ploshchanskyi, Z. Zhabiuk and A. Sidorov.{jcomments on}
On October 6, the National Park's employees O. Vikyrchak, A. Bachynskyi and A. Sidorov organized a field trip for a group of students and teachers from Zalishchyky Secondary School No. 2 so as to teach the children to love nature and show them the beauty of our land. The group attended Kasperivtsi Landscape Reserve located below a tiny village of Holihrady. The students were led by Vice-Principal G. I. Zagariya.
The students and teachers walked along the ecological trail above the water, cleaned a spring with curative water called Serebria, picked up trash en route, and studied the geological structure of the hills, the endemic and relict plants and the fauna.
The Park may be a member of international environmental organizations, associations and unions, take part in international cooperation in the sphere of landscape and wildlife preservation and protection, maintain the overall environmental balance and monitor environment. The main tasks for cooperation with the national and foreign institutions and organizations:
- development and implementation of various international scientific, research and technical programs and projects;
- exchange of research information, mutual trainings for researchers and professionals;
- environmental education and publishing activities.
